English Conversation Classes: These weekly classes provide you the opportunity to improve your English conversation skills in a small group setting with native English speaking leaders. Topics will be of interest to students, including current events, family holiday celebrations and the like.
Bible Discussion Groups: Are you curious to know what Christians believe and why? Classes meet weekly to read and study a part of the Bible, the book Christians follow. Words, thoughts and teachings are explained and discussed with an English-speaking leader.
Parenting Class: Raising a family is a challenging and fulfilling task. Raising a child away from one’s home culture adds another dimension for international parents. In this class, “Growing Kids God’s Way,” get together with other international parents and a trained teacher to learn skills for raising healthy, well-adjusted children. Childcare is provided. Textbook purchase is necessary.
Mom & Baby Playtime: Enjoy a time of fun and learning with your child and meet other moms and their children. International moms and children listen to a Bible story, learn songs and have snacks. During the children’s playtime, the class teacher leads the moms in conversation about topics of interest.
TGIF: Have you ever wondered what Christians believe and why? You will enjoy this weekly Friday evening event which gives answers to that question and more – eating free, home-cooked meals, meeting new friends, singing songs and playing games.

Friendship Families

Friendship families are St. Louis-area families who commit to spending time with their “adopted” international student (and family, if applicable) once a month. Friendship families may host students in their home, share a meal at a restaurant, invite their student to a concert, play, or other event, take them to a museum, park, or other tourist attraction, or do something else together. There are many possibilities for how friendship families and international students can spend time together.

If you would like to be connected with a friendship family, just send an e-mail to ismstlouis@gmail.com.

If you live in the St. Louis area and are interested in becoming a friendship family, you can also send an e-mail to ismstlouis@gmail.com.
